Here’s a quick mini-guide, for more insights, strategies and gameplay tactics check out these WoW Monk strategies.
First of, the World of Warcraft Monk class that comes with Mists of Pandaria can be played buy the following races: Pandaren, Human, Gnome, Draenei, Dwarf, Blood Elf, Night Elf, Orc, Troll, Forsaken and Tauren. Take note though that regardless of the chosen race, the Monk class have a set of talents and builds for gamers to further specialize their characters.
In terms of which talent is better than the other, there is no ultimate answer. It all depends on which boss you are up against, which monster you’re slaying and your purpose at that time be it PvP or leveling up. When it comes to Monk builds, the class is highly based on martial arts, thus regardless of which build you decide to go with, expect alot of bare fist skills. Unlike the Death Knight class that was released with Wrath of the Lich King, the Monk class can be played from level 1 and have the option to join the horde or alliance faction.
The three different Monk builds are:
- Mistweaver – specializing as a healer
- Brewmaster – for gamers who enjoy playing a tank
- Windwalker – a melee DPS for hack-and-slash lovers
All monk skills are performed with an energy cost. Thus for a large part, playing a Monk effectively is not all about builds but also about effective Energy and Chi management.
